Palma is the base for most of the tours here. Inside the city, the Old Town E-Bike Ride links the old town, river bridges and parks over 22 km. Beyond it, the Forest Gravel Loop and Volcano Gravel Day head for tracks and forest, the Riverside Gravel Intro offers an easier first taste of gravel, and the Greenway Easy Day follows a flat railway path to the coast. The Big Climb Morning is the hard road option. Choose by effort: the city and greenway rides are gentle, while the climb and the volcano day are demanding.

Why ride here

Palma combines a compact historic centre with quiet roads and tracks within reach. Mild winters make it a popular place for cycling outside the northern summer, and the mix of flat, rolling and mountainous terrain means that a mixed-ability group can usually find a ride that suits everyone.

Key routes and climbs

Rides from here fall into three kinds: gentle city and path riding, forest or riverside gravel, and long road climbs. The tours listed under this place cover all three, from 22 km with 300 m of climbing to 88 km with 1,600 m. Compare distance and climbing on each tour page before choosing.

When to go

Spring and autumn give the best conditions: warm days without extreme heat. July and August can be very hot by midday, so book morning starts. Winter is mild but daylight is short, and rain is possible. Wind can affect exposed coastal sections at any time of year.

Getting there

Palma airport is a short drive from the city centre, with taxis and buses running to the centre. Most hotels in the old town are within walking distance of the cathedral and waterfront. Check each tour's start point, as some meet in town and others at a nearby location.

Guided or self-guided?

The Old Town E-Bike Ride and the climb and gravel days are guided. The Greenway Easy Day is described as at your own pace, so it suits independent riders who prefer to set their own stops. Guides help most on gravel and big climbs, where route-finding and pacing matter.
